Golden Key has set up a tutoring program in a local middle school in October. The intent of academic mentoring is to provide more than just homework assistance for a student, by assisting students to explore new strategies of learning and problem-solving. Currently we are looking for several students who would be able to commit 1 hour every week in second semester. All Golden Key tutors are committed to the program for at least one semester. We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and responsible students. In addition, mentors will have strong interpersonal,
communication, problem-solving skills, and desire to work with middle school aged youth. They will be responsible for assisting youth with daily homework, assignments, and projects, both one-on-one and in small groups.

A police record check is required for all school volunteers, for more information please contact Niosha.
